Position Type: Volunteer
Kitchen Staff report to the kitchen manager and assist in the completion of all assigned activities (as per the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef job description).
This is a volunteer position.
A non-exhaustive list of responsibilities includes:
Work with the Kitchen Manager/Chef to properly prepare meals, taking special care for people with allergies/dietary restrictions
Assist with putting out food; occasionally serve the meal
Do dishes and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen
Assist in the maintenance of kitchen inventory
Possess a commitment to safe food handling procedures
Get servsafe server certification
Communicate effectively with various populations
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
Work in extreme heat
Hear and listen
Sit, stoop, kneel, crouch
Work with chemicals
Work with noise.
